HSBC stands for Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited. It is a multinational bank whose head quarters are in London, United Kingdom. It is the fourth largest bank in the world, with a total asset of US$ 2.67 trillion. Originally the bank was established in Hongkong and Shanghai in the year 1865. But since 1991, it has been established in London.

The branches of HSBC are spread in 80 countries around the world, having more than 6600 branches. The bank has 60 million customers from Asia, Africa, and Europe, North America and South America and many other places.

HSBC is providing four different banking facilities: Global banking and markets, commercial banking, global private banking and retail banking and wealth management.

HSBC continues to be the largest bank in Hongkong and continues to print the local currency in its own name. A customer can have multiple facilities by having an account in HSBC. There is facility of internet banking, mobile banking, NRI services, insurance facility, wealth management for corporate accounts, self service banking, credit card facility, savings account, fixed deposit accounts etc. It also gives special offers and discounts to its customers who own a credit card.
