What is the full form of SENSEX:

SENSEX represents Stock Exchange Sensitive Index.

It is also called BSE-30 and is a stock market of India. It has 30 most established companies which are financially sound. SENSEX was established in the year 1986 and is the oldest stock exchange in India.

It is an indicator which tells the position of stocks of the companies which are listed in the Bombay Stock Exchange. It considers the free float market capitalization method to know the position of the company in the stock market.

There is a link of companies which comprise SENSEX in India, they are State Bank of India, Larsen & Tourbo, Tata Consultancy Services, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Infosys, BHEL which is also known as Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, ONGS or Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, Hindustan Unilever etc. The list of companies in SENSEX keeps on change from time to time. The companies in SENSEX depend on the position of the company in the market.
